● HOW COMPANIES SCREEN YOU
The first reader of your CV isn't a person. It's software.
Almost every large company collects applications in an Applicant Tracking System (ATS). There your CV is turned into text, run through screening questions and matched against the words a recruiter types into the search box. If those words aren't in your CV, you never show up when they search.

How does an ATS screen a CV?
- 01
Parsing
Your CV is turned into plain text and split into fields: headings, dates, job titles. In CVs with tables, two columns, icons or images, information shifts or gets lost.
- 02
Screening questions
Work permit, location, required certificates. 84% of surveyed recruiters screen with these; applications that miss a requirement drop out automatically.
- 03
Search and filters
Recruiters search hundreds of applications by skills and job title. If the job post's words aren't in your CV, you don't appear in the results.
- 04
Human eyes
A shortlisted CV gets a few seconds at first glance: title, company, dates. A messy CV is dropped here.

Myth
“An ATS throws away 75% of CVs before anyone sees them.”
There's no research behind this number: it came from a 2012 sales pitch by a company selling CV services (Preptel). In a 2025 survey of 25 recruiters, 23 said their systems don't auto-reject CVs based on content.
Reality
The real screening is quieter: if your CV can't be parsed or doesn't contain the job post's words, you're not in the list when a recruiter searches.

How deHUMILATOR fixes this
A format ATS can read
One column, standard headings, one date format. No tables, icons or images.
The job post's words, if you have the proof
Skills and terms from the job post go into your CV where your experience backs them up. We never add what isn't there.
A headline that fits the job
The target title at the top is tuned to the job post; your past job titles stay untouched.
